Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change  the world” ~ Nelson Mandela

A Million Voices provides a comprehensive scholarship program to children and youth in the Philippine capital. The aim is to not only equip them with the necessities in order to complete their schooling, but also to provide them with the skills and mindset to excel and blossom in life.

The scholarship program includes children and youth from a targeted community in Manila and caters to students from grade 1 to grade 12, as well as higher education. That means we support our scholars through elementary and high school, with continued support to those scholars who wish to proceed to university or college after high school graduation. The program itself runs in a yearly cycle from school start in June until school ends in April.

Aside from individual support and assistance from A Million Voices staff and volunteers, the scholars receive the following:

  • Daily school meals
  • School and PE uniforms
  • School shoes
  • School bag
  • School supplies
  • Project needs
  • Annual Physical Examination
  • Birthday surprise + more

Being part of the scholarship program also ensures the scholar receives other services and/or is included in other projects and activities, such as:

  • Health support
  • Daily school transportation
  • Tutorials and homework assistance
  • Educational and team building outings
  • Courses and seminars
  • Mentorship program
  • Emergency support

Would you like to become a scholarship donor?

Through a one-time donation you will be able to part-take in ensuring that your scholar has all s/he needs for one whole school year.  During the school year, you will as a sponsor receive two optional updates about the scholar, as well as photos and a holiday card. Communication with the student is also possible, but with certain guidelines to follow.

If you would like to learn more about how to become a sponsor, you may contact us for further details. We can also send you our information sheet covering the specifics of the scholarship sponsorship.
